Has anyone made a canned strawberry ice cream sauce?

Ok, all you who can - this sounds like a fresh strawberry sauce recipe - can I jar it
Then maybe just water bath it for 10 minutes? If I don't can it, any idea how long it will stay good in the fridge?

I cannot comment from experience, however I did Google "canned strawberries"
and there are instructions for it. Why not just pick one out and go from there. I freeze strawberry jam as I think I get a better fresh strawberry taste, but if freezer space is an issue, I don't see why canning would not work. Try it and see.
