Has anyone made Alice Medrich's Honey Walnut Tart? I am thinking

about making it for a Christmas party this weekend. Does it really turn out as pretty the picture in her Chocolate Holidays book? And the "cook until mixture reaches 305°F on a candy thermometer" scares me a bit. Any suggestions?
