The apples are absolutely DIVINE thanks to GayleMO's recipe for caramel. But I can't seem to keep it from making a big puddle around the bottom of the apple where it sits! I have tried dipping them while the caramel is hot, so as to get a thinner coating, shaking off as much as possible. I have also tried letting the caramel cool a little before dipping.
