enamel casserole and I'm pretty impressed with it. it's very heavy and appears to be as well made as LeCuiset at a fraction of the cost.

any experience and opinions on this line?

As much as I can take that woman....we picked up a huge, non-stick

skillet for my niece (just moved into her own apartment) at T.J. Maxx for $25. It was also very heavy and appeared to be made quite well.

I recently spent about $200 for a Le Cruesset 8-quart oval, and that was half price at an outlet....

If what you are saying is true, then I can hear RR's raspy giggle mocking me.

I'm not a fan either but...... a 5.25 quart casserole, heavy, heavy enameled cast iron for

$59.95...... woah! I went over and over this baby and probably couldn't tell it apart from a LeCruesset.

Fred Meyer's dosesn't carry the whole line and I need to replace my 2 qt saucepan. I'm seriously considering finding one of hers. I left a 2 qt LeCruesset in NYC when I moved her and have regretted it.

my guess, the line is fairly new and the prices are very low but will probably go up in a year or two. aka, buy now and save! smileys/smile.gif

I am totally in love with Le Cruesset new blue ocean color, but the price stops me...

Isn't Rachael Rays orange?

Ddi anyone look at the Martha Stewart line at Macy's? Pretty blue, price about the same as RR...

I glanced at it quickly today - seems a little lighter than Le Creuset, but it sure looks nice...

it is oval. I also want to get a large, round cast iron dutch oven. I really think cast iron

is under appreciated. if you take care of them, they just last forever and a day. I think I use my cast iron skillet as often as I use my All Clad large sautee pan.

I love mine from QVC - made by Staub, classic colors, 1/4 the price of Staub

only real difference is it doesn't have the spikes on the lid that is Staub's signature. QVC also has some others but I like the one made by Staub.

Living in TN and having to live with all the UT orange blood around plus the fact that RR bugs the heck out of me, I couldn't stand to have the RR organge stuff sitting around!!!

Must be a good pot because ...

I cooked a stove-top pot roast in it today and Randi liked it. She not only went for seconds but I caught her finger-pinching the platter later. I can't take credit for this - must have been the pot.

I didn't remember posting this and couldn't image how I got to be so humble and cute LOL

I think it's time Don got his own log-on name '-))

he cooked the entire meal himself, first time for pot roast, and it was just a huge treat for me to do whatever I wanted and not have to lift a finger for dinner. of course, it was a bit odd, hearing someone clattering around my kitchen but he's learning where everything lives in the drawers and cabinets.

the recipe he used could have had more seasoning and certainly more salt, but it was quite edible, unlike my first meatloaf a couple of days before that I wouldn't feed to a dog!

Don worked really hard on the dinner and I offered to clean-up after and he said no.... awwwwhh whataguy!

annnd, it was our aniversary and that made the evening even more special. we both forgot it was our aniversary until my son called... ah yes, I remember it well '-)))
