has anyone recently bought a new food processor that you love?

I've been doing research and comments about the Cuisinart say the machine is not what it used to be. Kitchen-aid comments are abundant that the lid is difficult to get into the right place in order for the machine to turn on. Also, do any machines come with disc storage or is that always something extra?

So far, I am hitting a blank I prefer to get some good referrals than go from there.

I can't get the link to work but the lid thing is what I have heard

most about Cuisinart. I LOVE my now very old KA and would probably just get another.
You might go to Amazon and read their reviews. I REALLY find them helpful when I buy almost anything.

I used a new Cuisinart when I was in LA, the top is much better than the old style

It was a 11 cup though and it made me really miss my 14 cup.

I'll still recommend the KA--like Michael, mine is old, but the

lid design looks much the same. OUr kids have Cuisinart and had the problem with the lid. Mine also has the small bowl (Michael, mine has a storage box!!).
I would also recommend a larger bowl for much the same price -OR this incredible price for a refurb.
Welll, I'll have to go back and get it, but it has an adjustable slicing disk which I think would be great. It is $80 for an 11cup.
Here is an Amazon page and the refurbs are several lines down--they don't spell that out in the title, but the price tells the tale.
I have found I don't use my shredding disks (Which I have) as much since finding I can use the slicing disk for cabbage, for example, and then do a second process with the metal disk to make slaw. The same thing for hard cheese like parm. Just an FYI.
