It goes as low as 70 degrees...which means it can be used to temper chocolate. And it goes as high as 220...which means it can be used as a crockpot.
A bit too expensive for my needs, but I like the idea. I though up the same concept years ago, but it was a pot that went as high as "hard-ball" sugar" stage.
