Has anyone tried a type of fish called "Corvina?" My local supermarket is selling it (wild-caught).

I've never tried it before, and am wondering what it tastes like and what kind of texture it has. I looked it up on the Internet, and it's described as a white sea bass.

It's delicious!

It's very white and flaky - it's eaten a lot in Central America - give it a try, you will like it

Does it have any other names? I know I could search, but my connection here is slooooow! thanks!

From the Cook's Thesaurus (foodsubs.com)

Drums
This category includes yellowfish = yellow croaker (pictured), corvina = spotfin croaker, drum, redfish = red drum, white sea bass, kingfish, weakfish, and spot. Substitutes: hake (tastier) OR mullet OR tuna OR red snapper OR pompano

Another site calls it white sea bass.

There's also a fish called a corbina, but I can't tell from a quick hunt whether it's the same or related or different altogether.

In this context the "v" and "b" are interchangeable in Spanish, so it's the same fish...
