Have any of you ever made sesame halvah?

I think maybe I have a Catch 22. I thought of making it because there are no

Middle Eastern markets close anymore, but probably to get really good fresh tahini I'd have to drive to one anyway.

When I was in my teens an Ashram moved into my small hometown. They ran a really good restaurant & bakery. They made their own halvah & I have adored it ever since. I've never had any as good as theirs was.
