Have any of you had experience with the Fisher and Paykel dual fuel range?

a co-worker just bought a JennAir duel fuel and loves it. don't know about the FP though.

didn't help much.

 
I'm looking at Ranges in Consumer Reports as we speak and just got home

from looking at Home Depot. Consumer Reports says "Manufactures claim that dual-fuel ranges combine the best qualities of gas and electric but in our tests many were out-dueled by less expensive all-gas or all-electric ranges, plus pro-style ranges cost thousands more and some brands have been repair prone in our surveys.

 
Exactly what I am hoping to find out about -- service records!

My son has a Thermador range (all gas) and needed service for the oven. The service call was going to cost him a fortune!

 
I have been pleased with F&P customer service. We have the dishwasher. No exp with the oven, but

the company has been great to work with.

Several family members own the F & P washer and all rave about it.

I don't think anyone has had a problem that would involve a service call.From what I understand the product is that good. Doesn't help with the question of the dual-fuel range,but I think you could be assured the F & P products are of good quality.

 
A friend has the FP cooktop and loves it...

she did say there was a problem with the grates rusting but when she called customer service they sent her upgraded ones.

She also have the wall oven and love3s it as well. No problems I know of.
