Have any of you rec'd an invite from Epi to join their "new and better " site. I went to the >>>

elaineta

Well-known member
contact page and informed them that until they

restored the marvelous wealth of recipes from Gail's there was no reason to consider joining a site they managed.

They got me mad!!

I don't thihk they'd email me witha ten foot pole!

I made my feelings pretty clear through a series of emails to the "editor" when I left there and have never returned -

I did, and it's surprising that they actually contact us after all of the "no replies" I've

gotten (haven't gotten) in the past.

Did they respond to your email?

Last email they sent me was back in February, asking me to take a survey.
Since I have a history of telling them they messed up (really badly), I doubt they will ask me to join anything.

It was probably sent to everyone who is registered with Epicurious, I find their site extremely

confusing and hard to navigate. They don't seem to have an easy way to view and choose the many options they now have. I will stick with the New Batch and Buzz Box, both which have new names now, I think. I do like their magazines recipes.

It wasn't send to everyone registered. I didn't get one.

Am I feeling slighted? Not in the least.
I am happy here. I do visit Epi, maintain a recipe box there (how long before they zap that, too?), but this is what I call "home" now.

IT wasn't a personalized invite, just a mass-mailing touting their "improved" site -

I got it at the e-mail address I used to register on their site. Here is what it says:

Dear Epicurious User,

We are excited to let you know about some changes and improvements to our site!

Share your recipes in a public recipe box:
• You can now make your recipe box public to share what you're cooking with other Epicurious users. You can also check out other public recipe boxes for new recipe ideas.

• Your recipe box won't automatically be public; we'll keep it private by default unless you choose to make it public.

• You can choose to make your Recipe Box public, but keep any Member Recipes you've personally entered private, if you don't want to share your cooking secrets!

Create your own Epicurious profile:
• You can now create a profile page, to tell the Epicurious community more about yourself.

• You can also search for other Epicurious users' profiles by their interests, to read more about them and what they love to cook.

• If you've already rated or reviewed a recipe, your profile page will automatically be populated with your username and links to your ratings and reviews. No other information will be filled-in about you until you choose to include it.

• If you have never rated or reviewed a recipe, you will not automatically have a public profile (though we'd love to learn more about you and hope you create one!).

We think you'll enjoy these enhancements and hope you join our new Epicurious community.
