Heading for New Jersey and (possibly) a New York side trip this weekend, for my youngest...

He's the one who climbed up on a stool so he could watch me make coffee every morning.

Also the one who watched intently when he saw me separating an egg for the first time.

"What'cha doin' Dad? Gettin' rid of the slobber?"

Little guy.

Have a fun trip. Princeton is a lovely part of the state.

And congrats to the new grad and the proud Dad.

Outstanding news! Congratulations to your son - and his parents!

I didn't realize that Mayo Clinic had their own school of medicine. Makes sense! Colleen

Oh Michael - such wonderful, joyful news!

Congrats to your son! And to you! May these next few days be filled with happiness and wonderful, memory-making moments!

They have one in Rochester and Phoenix. He already did an observational internship...

...with the cardio-thoracic surgeons here in Phoenix a couple of summers ago. It was life-changing for him, and he found his passion within the medical field.

Four years to go!

Michael

Wow, yr buttons must all be popping off your vest! Congrats all around. I especially loved yr egg

separating story with your youngest son.

Congratulations! That was such a great story. Our youngest son was very much in love with my kitchen

I have a picture of him at 5 years old standing on a foot stool making an omelette for himself. So cute. He loved my spice cabinets and asked me one day about mixing spices. Not sure how old he was, but we discussed spice mixes and I showed him where I kept my mixed spices. He had fun opening the jars and smelling them. One day, I was away from home, and not sure anymore who was watching him , but when I walked in the door, here is this little guy all puffed up and proud, and anxious to show me how he had made a mix of several of my spices, He took all the jars that were less than 1/4 full and mixed them up. They were carefully repackaged into the empty containers, I had no idea what was what. But I used those spices and always told him how good his spice mixes were.

We had a fantastic trip! Large contingent of family made it out from San Diego, Los Angeles ...

...and Virginia.

Our son was so happy and the festivities at Princeton went non-stop for three days. They've had plenty of practice at doing this, and they are really good at it!

Thank you for the kind words, everyone.

Michael
