Heading to Scottsdale for Spring Break and need restaurant suggestions

We are taking the boys to Scottsdale for a couple days to see the Cubs play their last few Spring Training games. Then, we are going to head up to Sedona for some hiking. Right now, we have a casita reserved at the Hilton Squaw Peak mostly due to the fact it has a mini-water park attached to the resort. We may change to the Fairmont or the Hyatt Gainey Ranch depending on what kind of deal we get. Anyway, any suggestions of good, fun, kid-friendly restaurants? We love divey places and diners. Any type of food is welcome although we are partial to Asian, Italian and Mexican.

Thanks.

Kathleen

Rome's Pizza on 83rd St and McDowell, best pizza in AZ

Rome's Pizza is owned by 2 young Italians from Italy who first lived in Queens NY then moved to Scottsdale.

Having been born and raised in NJ (15 minutes from NY) the pizza they make is EXACTLY like NY the pizza I grew up on.

I make the 40 minute one way drive at minimal once a month to have their pizza.

Their pizza is best NY pizza ever in the State of AZ and it gives me a little bit of home. Their lasagna is to absolutely die for.
