Heather in SF...saw this and thought of you. Wish they delivered down here!

Maria, you can buy Straus ice cream at Sprouts - it's SOOOO good. And...

also at Sprouts you can buy Broguiere's milk in glass bottles, like the old-fashioned quart bottle, and it's really good. Been around since 1920, family owned.

...that's what I need more ice cream!!! smileys/smile.gif

I can get it at WFs too, I rarely go to Sprouts (even though it's closer) because it seems more expensive than WFs.

Oh man, living in an apartment has its disadvantages, not being able to do this is one

of them, what an awesome thing to bring back!!! I loved the stories of my mom sneaking out to get the milk delivery first, so that she could get that slug of cream on the top. heh.

They won't deliver to an apt??

If this guy goes into garages to put delivered groceries away in garage fridges, he *should* deliver to your apt. People with bad knees need delivery service!!!

(His delivery fee is cheaper than Safeway's. I'd totally use him, but he doesn't deliver this far south.)

I would have to be home to let them in, or someone would have to let him in.

I don't even have packages delivered at home, the postman leaves them on a bench in the lobby and too many times I never received them, same with W magazine and the SF Chronicle. I'm not schlepping bottles of milk etc home on the bus either.

Bummer. Well, Safeway has Sat and Sun delivery. They come to the door and will bring it in even.

When I had casts on both legs I relied on them and they were great.
