As I mentioned earlier above, I am attending BlogHer Food conference in SF tomorrow! Squeeee!
I am so excited! Thanks to Traca introducing me to everyone via Twitter I now know most of the speakers from there and lots of the bloggers attending the conference.
Last night I hooked up with a nice gal from Alaska and we toured SFMOMA, had a great Thai dinner in the Castro and xxx rated cookies for dessert. Hawt stuff!
Tonight is a special dinner for 40 lucky bloggers, including moi!! at a Michael Mina restaurant hosted by the Mushroom Channel. I cannot wait to see what they present, apparently each course is in Mina's signature canape style, with wine pairings. Lord have mercy.
Tomorrow is the conference, with three amazing and different tracks of sessions: Visuals (photography), Values (ethics) and Vocation (professional bloggers and how they did it).
I am having a hard time deciding between these tracks and it's going to be fun.
Check this out - Rocco Dispirito is making lunch. Top chef contestant and cutie Ryan Scott is doing a cooking demo and then there is a chocolate contest. Plus a cocktail party afterwards and then a swanky after party.
!!!
I have been so busy networking with people and prepping for tomorrow, along with my other projects. And, oh yeah, a temp position last week for most of the week.
So I'm behind on what's happening here, haven't cooked a thing and miss my kitchen and my knitting. I did manage to have dinner over at a friends, she cooked a massive pile of freshly caught porcini in a chicken stroganoff that I am still dreaming about.
I'll report back this weekend about all the fun foodie things that I see, hear and taste this weekend.
Is anyone here going?
Hugs - Heather
