I just noticed my bottle say 2011! Really Orchid? Can you believe that? Anyway, so I don't have a conversation with myself, safe or not safe?

Ack....got bumped out and had to sign back in. No, they're

not mushy so I'm going for it. I just won't tell John and play innocent if something happens. LOL Thanks

I don't think there is a health concern but the taste and quality could deteriorate.

I'd go for it too.

Safe. I had a friend for whom I bought capers & when I visited 4 years later, the same jar was

still there. Clearly, they didn't eat them often, but they did eat them. They are alive today.

Ha! Well, I'm still here today so I guess all is well. I told John

about this, after he had eaten, and said I don't really see why they wouldn't be ok since they seem to be in some kind of vinegar type solution. There were no signs of problems nor smell that was wrong. I did say I think it was probably a good idea to get a new jar. ;0)
