and was testing the email capacity. When I set up my account, I entered my Incoming server as pop.gmail.com and Outgoing server as smtp.gmail.com.

Tried to send a document to one of my other email accounts. Nothing works.

Also, if for some reason, there's a typo or I need to enter a different outgoing or incoming server, there's now way to do it, or at least that I can find. I can't access the original setup.

I'm almost finished with my book, which I already have saved on Microsoft Works 2000, and will retype it onto Open Office (no, it can't be converted, but ever other word processing program can - great luck, huh)?, but only if I can email the damn thing. I need to be able to send the OO file to agents and publishers. At this point, I can't do anything.

Anyone who knows anything about this, please help!

Ya know, maybe I should just save everything to WordPad, and email it that way. So much easier, so

simple. The more complex, state-of-the-art word processors are loaded with problems - The humble WordPad always works. And I assume everyone has WordPad on their computer, no?

Meryl, see inside

each email program is different in way you set it up.

how to set up or change an email account is
pop-or smtp-.....It's not .

Bob said it is a stripped down, non powerful, model, it's not real sophisticated.

Also, no I don't have Word Pad. Bob said you either have Word Pad or Note Pad.
