Help me decide... niece is tempting me to get Air fryer

my niece in Brazil got a Phillips air fryer a while ago - she sends me messages, photos, and is cooking up a storm with it. She absolutely loves it

this is not cheap - we never fry anything because I detest dealing with the oil, but the idea of having crisp sweet potatoes, crisp zucchini chips, etc etc - seems pretty nice to us... she uses hers several times a week

anybody here has one? is Phillips really the best?

 
There are so many fun and interesting gadgets coming on the market now, drives me batty

took me three years to find the perfect slow cooker with an insert which I could use on the stove. I will not live long enough to try all these new gadgets.

I bought a book on amazon, that is supposed to be the ultimate book for air frying recipes

it was pretty cheap, too bad they did not have a Kindle version, though - still... it should arrive in a couple of days

with that book, I will be able to decide if it's something worth going for... if I don't buy it, I will send the book to my niece in Brazil

win win win... right?

 
There is a really good fb site.... This Old Gal. She has recipes for both electric pressure cooker

and separate section for the air fryer. Her PC recipes are really good. I have been tempted to purchase an air fryer, so let me know how you like it. I am worried about the amount of space and how often I would use it. Check out her site, I am sure you will learn a lot and has great recipes.
