Early Thanksgiving luncheon at work (for 10) just got bumped up to include The Authority (read that as: "our British military customers who have never actually joined in a "Celebratation of New World colonists Who Fled from Religious Persecution in England" food fest.)

I'm making Richard's Killer Mashed Potatoes (with optional Lipitor), gravy, and maybe a sweet potato casserole because no one has signed up for that yet...and what's a T-Day meal without sweet potatoes?

But how much???

Got to go shopping early this week because the luncheon just got bumped up to this Friday.

Oh, and Major C just HINTED LOUDLY that he's never tasted a keylime pie.

They usually figure 1/2 cup per serving, as you probably already know, but I'd

double that if serving buffet-style. Triple if my brother-in-law is coming ;o) So I'd say 20 cups - two or three 2-qt casserole dishes

Half that if there are only 10 people attending.

My guess is that people will choose small portions; because of work...They don't want to fall asleep

in the middle of the afternoon. Very nice of you to coordinate...

Thank you! Actually, D...I didn't know portion size. I just know Lar will eat every bit of

mashed potatoes I make. And these military guys are far larger than him.

Double it is.

I'm addicted to carbs. I'd choose mashed potatoes over turkey with gravy any day.

If you have people like me coming in, they'll probably have two cups of mashed potatoes (- and nothing else). *LOL*
