I forgot the name of the recipe and want to make them this weekend. We are cooking some duck and want to serve the buns unfilled. I know various recipes have been posted here but darn if I can't remember the name of those recipes! Can anyone help?

Thanks so much!

My Chinese is rusty too, Maybe they are called Bas, this is just what I found, and I have plans now

to make it this weekend (copied it off the internet)It looks delicious. smileys/smile.gif

I meant Maybe they are called Bao's, sorry about that (chief) haha maxwell smart hahaha

some of these were called Char Sui Bao, or Cha Sui Bao. they pronounce

them "sho bow" in the Asian bakery here, but that could be Korean or some other Asian delicacy. Very good, nonetheless.

Thanks so much! Besides the usual reasons I'm really looking forward to Saturday so make these...

Is it just me or is this week neverending? Anyway, thanks for the recipes, I will report back how they came out. Wish Saturday was here sooner!!! We are making duck breasts with either an orange or plum sauce and I wanted to have the bau and slivered green onions to serve with. Just to have a change from rice pilaf!

By the way, last week we went to a Mandarin seafood place in SF and they served these buns with cracked crab stir fried in chili sauce. wow was that ever good to sop up the sauce with the bao! It was a different and very yummy way to serve them.
