It's a lunch so I'm not sure my guests will drink but I want to have something appropriate on hand. I'm serving a roasted tomato and basil soup, rosemary focaccia, quiche, fruit salad/edible garnish. I'm serving the soup and bread first then the quiche.

I can't decide what kind of wine would be best or if one would pair well with both courses. There's only 5 at the table and only 4 wine drinkers (at most).

Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend a red execpt that idea takes a turn at "quiche and fruit salad" so,my suggestion is a

very dry rose, either Spanish or a Napa Rose Syrah. Enough body to hold up to the soup and focaccia but light and fruity enough for the rest.

Steve is right, as usual, but you could also do a Pinot Grigio, or a pitcher of Sangria.

Some sparkling water would be nice as an alternative.

sparkling water is always available here

Thanks to my Soda Stream carbonator, one of my favorite kitchen toys, I mean tools!

Have you ever tried carbonating your wine? I'd DEFINITELY give that a shot. Every now and then, I

get my hands on "The Chook" sparkling syrah which is simply an outstanding, casual wine but if you could do that with everything, the world is your oyster . . . or at least your Sparkling Pinot Gris.

I'll do it

I'm also a fan of sparkling Shiraz. There are many things I have difficulty getting here in Oklahoma and go to Dallas a couple time each year to stock up. I can't wait to try this.
