Made delicious banana stuffed French toast for breakfast - one of the last days of "regular" school day for the kids so I thought I'd get up a little early and make a special breakfast. Thanks to all who suggested uses for the many bananas ;o) DH left for work and kids ready to go, and I thought I'd take a few relaxing minutes before getting ready.
Sat down and turned the tv on. So we were ready for the digital switchover, and have been watching digital for weeks now. However, we had a bad storm last night, and appartently it knocked the Galileo (to use a quote from Marilyn) out of the rooftop antenna. Okay, so I'll use another, smaller tv with rabbit ears until we either fix the antenna or get a new digital omni-whatever-it's-called flat antenna (any suggestions by the way?).
Grabbed the old tv that was put away and under a bunch of stuff going to the Salvation Army, dusted it off, unplugged the second converter box connected to the bedroom tv, tried to connect it to the dusty rabbit-earred tv when DD asked me why didn't I just use the converter box connected to the tv that no longer had the rooftop antenna. Thought to myself I'm getting dumber by the hour O
RE-connected the coverter box to the bedroom tv, disconnected the converter box from the now non-functioning tv, and attempted to connect the converter box to the dusty rabbit-earred tv.
Getting frustrated because I was bending over, upside-down, humidity now in the upper 90's due to the aforementioned storm, sweat running into my eyes, squinting because I couldn't see the teeny-tiny writing on the back of the tv OR the converter box. Reaching for my glasses which immediately got fogged up because of aforementioned humidity and aforementioned frustration, I somehow managed to connect everything but realized I have no idea where the remote for this old tv is.
I'm going back to bed. Work wasn't this hard! TGIF
