Here's something else that confuses me! How can a butter substitute spread that

is part canola oil be "30% lower in fat than butter"? Aren't all fats the same calories (9 per gram of fat)? Anyway, I bought it because it is easier to spread on toast!

'Thought maybe it was because it was whipped or aerated, thereby adding air to the serving size where the fat would normally be, but I don't think it is whipped. Hmm...

 
Because it has water in it so there is less fat in a tbsp.

What I wonder is how stick margarine seems to have more water in it now than it did when I was a kid & it still has the same calories. Never buy the stuff anymore.
