I don't want to advertise, but I saw this, this morning on tv while getting ready. They were so pretty.
"(6 items) Flowering teas, also known as display teas, bloom in the cup or teapot when they are infused. Each bundle is handmade with a precision that is hard to imagine. First, tea leaves are withered and dried to make green or white tea. Next, the tea leaves are dampened and gathered around small flowers or blossoms which are then tied and sewn by hand with cotton thread into tiny bundles.
The bundles are then wrapped tightly in cloth and allowed to dry again. After unwrapping, the bundles retain their shapes, hiding their inner secrets until covered by hot water.
Flowering teas are primarily valued for their aesthetic appeal. Their flavors are generally mild and may reflect jasmine influence if jasmine blossoms are included in the bundles.
One way to enjoy these miniature works of art is to display them in clear glass bowls on the dining table, enhanced by a candlelit glow."
