I'd be a bit nervous about receiving and eating jam from someone I didn't know...

I don't think twice about eating homemade goodies from any of you folks but I feel that I know YOU guys. From strangers? Not so much.

I've exchanged preserves in the past with several folks from, first Epi and now, FK. Judy springs to mind right off the bat. Then there was Hugh, Bonnie, Joe and several others.

Nobody knew me then and to the best of my knowledge, nobody was poisoned so, there you have it. Personally, anything suspect, I'd feed to a neighbor child first and if he's still walking around after an hour, I figure the stuff would be fit t'eat. As they say, "no guts, no glory". ;>D

 
Larder barter seemed to scatter-shot, which is why I never participated but if anyone wants to start

a jam exchange out of here, I'd be all for it. I'm still sitting on 6 cases of preserves . . . the remnant of the 18 cases I made this past year. Anyone?
