The color is sort of unappealing when sliced but the flavor is very good. I used some excellent green tea powder and a bit more candied ginger than the recipe called for. One thing, don't overbake it- mine turned out a little dry because my instincts told me to leave it in another 10 minutes past the baking time in the recipe. It was a mistake even though the bread was still a little sticky in the center.
Anyway, the flavor is lovely- how could green tea and candied ginger not be?
