Hi Marilyn, I'm checking in very quickly. I'm afraid I still have to give the sprite her gift
We had a rendezvous scheduled and she had to cancel, then she went on vacation, and I haven't gotten it together. But it is perfectly safe and she will love it. The link is to the OG Mag page--a little disappointing, just the videos you've already seen.
The reason I'm checking in quickly is because I got bad news this week--my dad died suddenly over the weekend. I'll be very busy with family in the next couple weeks. I'm sad but I'll be fine--he was 86, lived a great life, and then just keeled over. We should all arrange it that way.
I'm spending time with family and cooking up a storm for incoming relatives.
Thank you. You are all very kind. It's a sad time but I have so much to be grateful for
My dad still had his wits. He was having some problems with hearing and mobility which would have required changes he didn't want to make. His sudden death was hard on us but easy on him. (Our mother went through a long illness and we were dreading seeing our dad in decline.)
I lucked out in the parent department. He was a great guy and had a good relationship with all his kids. He was quite a curmudgeon but never lost his offbeat sense of humor. He was 100% Italian so he was really fun to cook for. Here is the picture Michael is referring to. It's from May but my cousin just shared it today. I love it because if you know him, you can see he's about to say something wonderfully irreverent.
