Hey Marilyn! About the group loaf pan buy?

hi colleen...actually it was no cost to me except the

time to repackage and mail out...of course there was the bonus mailbox macarena audition for american idol.

i put everyone's name/address into an excel spreadsheet so i could tell when we had enough sharers. then it was simply a matter of multiplying the number of boxes each person ordered by the cost of one box plus the shipping to them.

i repackaged one sunday afternoon, then took them to one of those automated machines that prints out the postage label. however, i wouldn't recommend dropping off the boxes on sunday because all the bins were full.

i think you can even print labels from home too.

no shipping cost from finer kitchens...

(please forgive the total lack of capitals...i'm typing with one hand while the other arm is being manhandled ...hmmm..armhandled? by a cpm machine.)

and no costs for the boxes because i used free priority boxes or recycled used boxes from work.

it was an excellent saving...plus they look so darn cute.

fyi: a recipe for 12 cupcakes makes 4 minipans.

let me know if you have any other questions. i'm getting pretty good at this one-handed typing stuff.

Yes...and mind-numbingly well.

Surgery last Friday, stupid from the drugs until Monday, nerve block wore off on Wednesday, so I could finally lift my arm and feel every bloody nerve ending in it.

Strapped into a CPM (continuous passive motion/movement) machine for at least 4 hours every day (more if I could convince myself I won't die of boredom) to keep the arm from re-scaring and re-blocking the movement.

Plus PT 4 times a week because the capsule is still too tight to allow full rotation. But at least no more scar tissue is blocking it. It hasn't had full rotation since February so there is lots of work yet to do.

Not getting a full-night's sleep yet due to the pain, but CathyZ/HI has told me that's normal.

Back to deep tissue massage in two weeks for more work on my back.

Actually, I feel blessed that I could deal with this problem time-wise, $$-wise, receiving prayers from friends, etc. I look at folks on the street and realize there are lots of people with frozen arms who have just learned to compensate for it.

I can work at the computer, but if you see no capitalization, it means I'm typing one handed while on the CPM machine!
(and I can't do exclamation points with one hand either!!!)

Sending good thoughts and prayers also. It does seem a lot of people have shoulder problems,

glad you are able to get yours repaired. You need lots of movies to watch while you're doing your therapy.

Hey there Marilyn...sending speedy recovery wishes your way...and

I just received the peanut flour. Gracias!

Oh my, I just saw all these posts...Thank you ALL. I haven't been on for

a bit, so I missed seeing them.

Shoulder is doing fine...mostly I'm dealing with back spasms from lifting my arm higher than it has been lifted in months. 600 mg does of ibuprofen and several daily doses of HBR (husband back rubs) seems to do the trick.

Freezer space is filled with ice packs and the Donvier cannister--I can turn the dasher crank with one arm while sitting in the SIB (Spanish Inquisition Barcalounger).

(Well, I needed some inspiration to sit in that chair for hours at a time.)

If I remember, I'll post the vanilla ice cream I jerry-rigged from one of David Lebovitz's.

Back to work next week part-time, then full after that. Thanks again for all the wonderful words, my friends.
