I added a lot less salt, a lot less olive oil, and subbed hot sauce for the jalapeno. I also used 1 lime instead of 1 1/2.

It made very little volume, because I used only 1/4 cup EVOO instead of the listed 1/2- 3/4 cup, but I loved the taste and texture, so I didn't want to add any more oil, plus it was healthier. Next time I'll definitely double it or more. The worst part was peeling the chickpeas - very time-consuming.

I do the exact same as you, reducing A LOT the amount of olive oil called for most dips (pesto included) - thanks for letting me know, I haven't had a chance to make it yet, but at some point I'll get there smileys/smile.gif
