it is ordered, well, some of it, and we are loving the rain in South Carolina!! Camping out is fun, too (sort of). I ordered flatware from Horchow and instantly sent it back. I think I will just reorder what we had before the fire. Nothing else seems to feel right! I am struggling not to replace but to move forward in new directions.

Greek salad tonight. In Austin we became addicted to the Greek carryout near Dell Children's Hospital. Our salad was built around the veggie stuffed grape leaves from Costco and their Tzatziki sauce, feta and kalamata olives. The vinaigrette was Central Market's lemon scented olive oil, "O" sherry vinegar from Dean and Delucca, Greek oregano, salt and freshly ground pepper. Cukes and cherry tomatoes I like to marinate in a little seasoned rice vinegar before tossing them in. It was GOOD!

I've missed you all, and have a few hundred posts to catch up on.

Hey Pat. I still have a box of cookbooks waiting until you to have shelves again. Ready yet?

I suppose I'll also need a snail-mail address for you but we can figure something out.

Thanks for the greetings! Steve and Melissa, I do have a bookcase

I bought at an estate sale yesterday. It's empty except for a shelf full of new first edition mysteries the sale was featuring. No cookbooks, I think the seller was a male audiophile -- I also scored albums full of classical cds -- $5 for 50 cds (in each album). Awesome, since I never got around to digitizing my music - **##@!!! Someone else had already gotten away with the blues, jazz and rock.

I've got some lamb chops for tonight, and some rosemary pesto I bought at dean & delucca.

Pat, PMs are still ... challenging. Only work sometimes and then, only the subject line. I've PM'd

my email address. You can email your snail-mail to me there. (The things we have to go through for internet security these days!)

I was going to send a copy of Hominy Grill's recipe book, but you're there now. How about

copies of jazz CD's?

What kind do you like? We don't have much, but we do like Boney James, Jessie Cook (flamingo jazz guitar) & Otmar Liebert (same).

I tend to buy movie soundtracts.

Let me know.

Steve, I sent you a PM, but I'm not sure it'll reach you...

In any case, if Pat's ok giving her address to one more person, I'd like to send a housewarming card. smileys/smile.gif

My email is slatterye !$%#!@#$ at @#$!@#R$ gmail blah blah blah dot yadda yadda com. smileys/wink.gif (Take that, spambots.)
