Hi, Has anyone ever made Gravlax???

Sandy, I've had lunch at Balthazar......

the food is fantastic, and the description "large bustling brasserie" is so apropos!
The tables are small and crowded close together, but the food and ambience couldn't be better.

This is just what I have been looking for, thanks Michael....

There was an upscale, very gourmet grocery store in town that had smoked salmon like this. Very flaky, moist and so full of smokey flavor.
I will be doing this recipe in a few days. I'll let you know!

I’m green! I’ve been “chomping at the bit” to go there.

A professor who befriended me at a local bar last month absolutely raved about the place. I love their cookbook. I’d like to stay in So-Ho and have breakfast, lunch, and dinner there!

OK the one that Jillelaine posted is the one I used. I put it up this afternoon>>>

and we will see how well it turned out in a few days. I plan on trying several different ones because I love salmon and love gravlax most of all.
Thanks for the help guys!
marg
