delivered Thursday afternoon! And that's basic shipping...I didn't request expediting or anything.

When I got home from work, Larry said I had a package delivered and I was expecting a small envelope from another company. He's pointing to this huge box on the floor which I kept insisting couldn't be mine. Silly me. Their facility is in Miami, so that's only 5 hours away, but still. I'm darn impressed.

 
We had that happen with Amazon right after Christmas. The boys...

...ordered various items with Christmas gift money and even with normal shipping they were on our doorstep the next afternoon.

I was reading where the next "big thing" in online purchasing is "same day delivery" at the normal shipping rates. It seems companies like Amazon are trying to put big distribution centers close enough to the majority of their US customers so that if you order something in the morning, it is on your doorstep by the afternoon of the same day -all without extra fees.
