Horrors!! Foreign object found in my cake batter!!

I am having a dinner party tomorrow night (actually, tonight--it's 1am!) and baked the cake tonight. When I was mixing the batter, I found a piece of the butter wrapper in the batter! I checked the batter pretty carefully when I poured it into the pan, but now I'm paranoid!

For those who are interested, here's the menu:

~~Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas (using the last of my New Mexican green chili--sigh)

~~Avocado Salad (which uses my new walnut oil--I'm so excited!)

~~Pinto Beans

~~Calabacitas (squash casarole)

~~Mexican Chocolate Pound Cake with Chocolate Ganache, Whipped Cream, and Raspberries (using the last of the frozen raspberries from my backyard berry patch)

I sure hope everything turns out well.

I would happily brave a little butter wrapper for ganache, cream and raspberries. Yum!

...when I'm a little less frazzled. Have this dinner tonight, am leading a four-hour workshop tomorrow, and have a big work project due next week. Sure wish I'd scheduled things better.

Well, back to prep work. Just took a moment to sit down... smileys/wink.gif

 
Everything went well; guests raved about the food.

I'm very relieved. I'll post recipes on Monday (it will take me two days to do all the dishes--no dishwasher!).
