Hi, I want to make Kraft's classic Fantasy Fudge, but the recipe calls for semi-sweet chocolate chips and I have only bitterweet chocolate chips. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the recipe?
Tara, you could just use the bittersweet chips, no need to change anything else in your recipe
There are no regulations between the use of those terms (bittersweet and semisweet), so chocolates with differing cocoa content from different manufacturers can use either term.
I'd just go ahead and use the bittersweet, and not alter anything else. I'm sure it'll be fine, especially if you like the dark chocolate.
