How do you dispose or do you donate your old inexpensive knives that you don't use?

I can't believe I can throw them in the garbage?? I mainly use my Wusthof Santoku and my others just collect dust. I'm getting ready to move and want to re-clutter.

Thanks for reading,

Ann

I would donate them to Goodwill or any other thrift store. That's where I got my very first knives.

Now I have a Wusthof Santoku and chef's knife and I hardly use any others either.

Duh! I never thought of that.

I have a whole drawer full of knives, most of which I never use. Now I have another trip to the local Goodwill type place.

Thanks for that idea.

There are lots at the thrift shops. I think someone culls them for name brands because I NEVER see

the really good ones there.

Or check with local high schools that have culinary programs

often they don't have decent equipment or have students that can't afford equipment so what you have may be worlds better than what they have. I even find this to be true of students in my college culinary program and our program is at a state run college which often doesn't get funding to provide all the things we could use.
