How long does fresh pesto last?

In our CSA box this week we got a huge bunch of garlic scapes. Last year, I made the most amazing pesto from them and want to do so again. However, our kitchen remodel is almost complete and I will not get a cooktop for until next Friday. I really want to serve the pesto with pasta, grape tomatoes and shrimp. If I make it this weekend, will it still be okay for next weekend when I can once again boil water?

I think if you cover it with a layer of oil it should be fine. Take some and freeze it in ice cube

trays to use later.(does anyone have ice cube trays anymore??)
