How many days in advance can I buy a fresh Turkey? Is tomorrow (Sunday) too soon?

I bought mine 3 days ago, at WF

I'm assuming that the fresh turkeys currently at the grocery store were slaughtered at more or less the same time. If my assumption is correct buying it 3 days ago or tomorrow should make no difference. I'm only guessing about all this but it seems reasonable, don't you think?
