How old are we and how many minutes will it take for someone to respond.

Well, if you go way back, we are at least 23 and counting...

if you go to the very beginning of the Epi "Gail's Recipe Swap".

I had been thinking the same thing about how this board had slowed almost to a stop. Time was I'd log in and it would take quite a while to read through all of the new posts. Now I search to see if there is a new post!

Damn, she went on a CAKE TOUR! I want to be her! By the way, I'm 2,060,899,118 seconds old. Oh

wait...2,060,899,119 seconds...hold on...2,060,899,120 seconds...damn...

What a great article, thank you! I joined Gail's quite early in 1996, not long

after we got an Internet connection. DH had been told at work that the internet was boring, so I had to ask for the connection as a birthday present, December 1995, as he wasn't interested.

I turned 68 on March 14, 2018. I posted on original Gail's but have no recollection of exactly when

I joined. I moved over to 'epicurious' and was also at 'finerkitchens' (is that the right order?) and finally gravitated here when some kind soul from one of the first 3 sites sent me an E-mail to alert me about the new "eat.at" swap. These sites have turned out to be simply wonderful for acquiring delicious new recipes; learning or improving cooking techniques; and making new friends.

LOL. That's TORTE to you! But seriously, has any other country built...

such beautiful cakes as Austria? and 36 variations of coffee to go with it?

Cathy, I remembered it as 1994 as well. Could there be a misprint???

Several other things are wrong in the Gail's description as well (as one who lived through it).
