Hungarian Mushroom Soup

I made this for our Hungarian themed dinner last night (my course, not at our house).

It was delicious! I didn't use milk as I wanted a more different than usual mushroom soup. This was quite easy.

Hungarian dinner menu:

Roasted cauliflower salad with roasted red pepper salad both served side by side on romaine leaves, Hungarian mushroom soup, beef goulash served over noodles and potatoes, steamed green beans, triple chocolate layer dessert (cake, mousse, cake & ganache) and prosecco with apricot liqueur.

I have this on the stove right now in the cafe. It smells wonderful

and tastes great. I am going to add the sour cream in a bit. I am serving this with a grilled cheese sandwich on rye.
I am also serving a grilled pimento cheese and ham salad sandwich with potato salad and the usual suspects, tuna and chicken salad with potato salad. People were coming out of the woodwork when I was sauteing the mushroom and onions. I wanted to add garlic to it, but I wanted to make it as is. Thanks Luisa!

You're very welcome ! I too thought, "What, no garlic!" but decided to make it as is, at least

for the first time. I thought I might try adding some white wine as well, but that too will wait.
I like what you served it with as well.
