"Contact Us" message I just left on a website after catching a hilarious typo:

FROM YOUR WEBSITE: "Poster Prints: Available in 11x14 and 20x24, our Posters are printed on a heavyweight paper stock. Posters sizes include a white boarder with logo at the bottom."

My questions are: Why can I only get a WHITE boarder? How come there aren't other ethnicities? Isn't that kinda prejudicial? Can I pick the sex of my boarder? Can I see pictures so I can pick out the one that best fits my, uh, needs? How is that logo on the boarder's bottom done? A tattoo? Can I get a boarder without a logo on it's bottom? If I don't have a spare room can I get my poster without a boarder?

I'm willing to be that it has been that way a long time-and it is the site for the

photographic reprints for Texas Highways magazine. What is even scarier is that whoever gets my message may not even be able to figure out what I'm getting at. No child left behind indeed.

I do document auditing all day, and when I point out such errors to the authors, I hear back "But, I used spell-check!"

Drives me nuts that they can't tell the difference between your and you're, or their and there.
I could go on for pages.

I think using bring instead of take is my pet peeve. "You're running late because you're

bringing your kid to the doctor? Really. I didn't know your doctor had started sharing an office with us. Where is he?

I hear this all the time. Hear it from news anchors. Read it in all my favorite books. Where are the editors????

I don't think he got the point at all. I replied that they might want to fix the website to read

"border" instead of "boarder".

But he was pretty funny-even if he did just think he was answering a smart-aleck message.
