I am making chicken pot pie soup today, and I am looking for a recipe for flat noodle dumplings.

Cheezz posted one a few years ago, but I don't know the difference between flat and regular "drop"

dumplings... are they more like pasta? 'Sound good tho.

this recipe from the Pioneerwoman site is for drop dumplings, but in the comments are lots of links

to "flat rolled dumplings" that most of the Texans and other southerners loudly voiced their opinions on that those were "real" southern dumplings. very funny to read through the comments and how regional this dumpling issue is.

My mom learned that when first married & Dad asked her to make dumplings. He meant the slick or

rolled dumplings. A neighbor friend gave her a recipe and he was happy. That recipe has baking powder and evaporated milk in it as well as egg.

Just a thought, what if I subbed Bisquick for the flour in the rolled dumpling

recipe? Actually, when I think about it, I don't have enough Bisquick to do that right now. But I am curious as to what you think might happen.

they would puff more because of the leavening in the bisquik.
