I am sooo upset. Do I serve these or junk 'em all?

Have relatives of DH and their grandchildren coming for a visit next week. I have a really busy week so I thought I'd do some cookies ahead and freeze. Planned on starting early but blah blah blah- I couldn't. Made the batter and started baking the recipe Ang posted for homemade oreos...and then the rains came. Finally finished filling and instead of crisp, yup -they're soft. Do I serve them soggy or dump 'em and buy cookies. Supposed to rain for the next week.

The worst part is...I made a double batch!

Hi Cyn...I definitely would not dump them!! Can you freeze them? LIke an ice cream sandwich? OR,

can they be the base of a homemade oreo ice cream sundae? I am sure they taste wonderful. ((The rain was unbelievable this am!!))

I kind of like them soft, as long as not too soggy. Do you have a gas oven?

Maybe put them in there for an afternoon with the heat from the pilot light just enough to dry them out a bit? Or, frozen would be yummy too. I'm sorry they didn't work well in the humidity. I don't have that problem up here.

BTW, Ang- for lunch today I had red salmon, that my brother had smoked in Homer

on a pumpernickel bagel, topped with cream cheese, red onion and fresh dill. It doesn't get much better than that!

Pour me wine, chocolate and salmon, I'm calling a plane--going back to when air taxies were taxies!

LOL! air taxi indeed. I tried to make a "reservation" for Kenai on Fri pm. no luck. darn slope

workers. Just kidding. It's the fishermen and wannabes that are filling the planes these days. David is entertaining a colleague and his 15 yr old son, who is a budding FOODIE, this week down at the cabin. The young man wants to bake a rum cake for them tonight. A budding foodie to mentor, and I'm stuck up here. Waaaaa. We hope to get some salmon this weekend by dip-netting. Not much luck with the regular fishing this week.
