I am soooooo glad I bought the appliances - batting 0 for 2 so far

Bummer!! That is a very large waffle maker!~ What waffle recipe are you using? I usually use

butter vs. Pam. Did it ultimately peel off? Sometimes, I find the first waffle may have that happen, usually because I am impatient, and open before it is cooked.

P.S. I use Bisquick SShhhhh : )

It took me over an hour to clean it. I was in no mood to eat after that! I did notice

that you can take out the plates and flip them over and you have a grill that can lie flat (both sides fully open). That's nice.

You mean the first one always sticks as in the VERY first one, or the first one of the day?

I swear the previous owner didn't ever clean it! There was brown, sticky goop all over the back and stuck in the grooves, so I gave it a good cleaning after I finally got the waffle remnants out of it.

 
It was a Bisquick recipe too - I think I added an egg and a little more flour to

the powder. Nope, never did peel off. Maybe I didn't have it hot enough, although I had it set at "Waffles"...

It makes 4 waffles (theoretically!!) at once, so they're not really that big. The machine is about 8 inches across.

Linking a website I looked up and followed their instructions, since no papers came with mine. Cooked them until the steam stopped escaping (5 minutes), but I think they were probably underdone, and never did cook right after I closed the lid again.

Now who keeps a mini crockpot on the counter!!! : ) No wonder it looks so big! I am going to

use mine for the first time tomorrow....Mini bourbon dogs for a neighbor party. I made them once over the summer; (hot dog theme), and they were enjoyed by my friends....SO, will make them tomorrow in the pot.

What do you use your mini for?

 
I use it mainly for when I'm cooking a small amount of food - a couple of

chicken breasts, vegetable side dish, etc. Sometimes it's just the right size, especially if I'm using my other one for something else.

 
the first one of the day, usually. at least that's my experience. I must have the same one----

it has the flat griddle on the other side.
