I baked a ham and the basting sauce is now stuck to my black enamel roasting pan. If someone knows

how I can get it off I would be greatful. It is rockhard. I tried simmering on stove top with dish detergent but no luck.

I had the same problem and used oven cleaner. I tried it on the bottom of the pan first,

to make sure it did no harm. The tough spots are on their second application. (Thanks for reminding me. That roaster may have stayed out in the garage with Easy-off until Thanksgiving.)

This won't help you now, but I always use the non-stick foil wrap on my metal roasting pans

especially for roasted tomatoes or anything with a sauce that gets sticky. Works like a charm, no cleanup.

Try a thin layer of dishwasher powder and and water, let

it sit overnight and hopefully it will wipe off in the morning. Dishwasher powder has an enzyme in it that breaks down food.
I hope this works for you, it hasn't let me down yet.

Dawn Power Dissoilver in the spray bottle is absolutely awesome for this!

It comes in a blue bottle with a pump spray nozzle - Can be kind of hard to find, but ts the best i've ever tried for the gunk that develops on cookie sheets, any baked on grease, pots and pans with that yelowish baked on crud, etc. Give it a try!

Joe -- I loved Oven Cleaner for getting food off of my pyrex. It smells

potent, though, so I have to make certain I have the doors open!
