I had a smoked turkey show up on my doorstep. What should I serve with it?

Michael, we usually grill one on Thanksgiving if we need more than one for...

...a big crowd. That's a bit different than a truly smoked bird, as the smoked turkey would be done on a smoker and taste much more "smokey".

When we serve ours, we serve it with all the regular and standard Thanksgiving sides. The real fun comes afterwards with the leftovers.

Smoked turkey sandwiches with warm bread, real mayo (or aioli) and a slather of cranberry chutney is heavenly.

Smoked turkey makes a wonderful addition to tortilla soup and any mexican dish using shredded turkey or chicken. It is FABULOUS in Dawn/MO's creamy enchiladas!

Hope this helps. Much of what we make on the grill gets eaten up so fast, we rarely need to deal with too much in the way of leftovers!

Michael

This was an unexpected addition to the menu so I will use it for wonderful sandwiches. Thanks!

At a Chef's event we served it on orange muffins with basil cranberry aoli

and with all of the wonderful chefs and their showcase dishes, this was one of the top things that people were talking about.
