I'm having my DH cut the sage this week and I could dry a stalk and put in in the pkg too, if you'd like. Thanksgiving turkey right around the corner you know! smileys/smile.gif

PM me again and let me know and two more of you PLEASE take me up on the offer, ok? I'm never going to get this nutmeg used so please help me! Don't forget to let me know if you want sage, too!

I'd love to bless yas! smileys/smile.gif

REC: Fried Sage Chips Gay, do you make these? We just eat them right

out of the oil. I have an unusual abundance of sage this year as well, and the leaves are HUGE.

Sage Chips

Make a quick flour and water
batter, it shouldn't be too thick but thick
enough to lightly coat the leaves.
add some salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic
powder, etc. and stir
together. Similar to a tempura batter
make sure your sage leaves are clean and
dry.

Put some olive oil in a frying pan, not too
much (about 1 inch) bring to a frying
temperature. take 1 sage leaf at a time by
its stem and run it through the batter, put
in hot oil and continue with other leaves
until the pan is filled. When the batter is
golden in colour, turn over if necessary
so they are evenly cooked on both sides.
Remove from pan, place on paper towels and
repeat with other leaves.

nutmeg.

where are you in u.s.a.I am in canada. Iwould love nutmeg. hope to hear from you.

also yummy to toss in a bit of oil, s&p and roast for 20 min or so - crispy and perfect with wee

roasted potatoes and a nice but mild dijon-y vinaigrette.

I'll try that too. thanks wildwood. I have such a big crop too. Gayle, I cover my

sage bush with a mini green house and it survives all winter. I can pick leaves throughout the year this way.

Gayle, your mailbox is full!!!

If I'm not too late, I'd love some nutmeg. Can pm you my address if you have some left. Thanks!
Andrea
