I have a new favorite olive oil!

I am an olive oil and vinegar nut. I love to try new ones, and different combinations. Recently, I noticed Ina Garten using one particular olive oil...and I noticed it on several of her shows. One day, the camera was just right and I got a clear view of the label and name of the oil OLIO SANTO California extra virgin. I Googled it and placed an order. For some reason it took a long time to get here, but it finally came and I am loving it.

Has anyone else used this olive oil from CA?

how can you go wrong with holy oil?

yes I've tried it and while I'm not as sophisticated as you with the olive oils, I do enjoy. In Sonoma county there are a few places where you can press your own olives. Not sure where your are in NorCal but may be worth a trip for a "nut" like you.

I'm in Redding CA....the northern end of the Sacramento Valley

While that sounds like a fun thing to do, I'd be better off leaving the blending to the professionals. We have a large olive tree industry here, and many growers make their own olive oils. I have tried them all.
I just had a plate of heirloom tomatoes for lunch, drizzled with Olio Santo, Golden Balsamic vinegar from Sparrow Lane and a sprinkle of Fox Point Seasoning from Penzey's Spice...it was a match made in heaven!

did the same thing at a dinner party last night although with mozz and basil

someone spilled some wine on the tomatoes and a new trend was started!
