Russian Dressing-basically homemade thousand island with chopped hard cooked eggs folded in. Wonder what makes you think of such things? I wouldn't touch bottled thousand island with a ten foot pole.

 
Homemade Green Goddess dressing does it for me. I make Bleu Cheese all the time...

...and my own Caesar, but Green Goddess is a treat.

It's so different than the bottled goop.

I'm making a homemade Creamy Avocado Ranch Dressing for dinner. New to me, hope

it comes out as good as it sounds (from Cook's Illus.)

AUNT ALICE'S FRENCH DRESSING

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1/2 cup ketchup
1 small onion -- minced or grated

Shake all ingredients together vigorously. Store leftover in refrigerator.
