DH and I split one of each...just to make sure they were ok smileys/wink.gif

The texture is really nice. Very moist and the strawberry jam in the vanilla buttercream is delicious. The chocolate is not at all sweet. I don't know if it's because I used something called "black cocoa" from the co-op or if any cocoa would do the same. Bittersweet ganache on top doesn't hurt either.

I made the chocolate with the ganache icing and the vanilla with the vanilla

buttercream icing and some of my strawberry jam swirled through it. They both set up nicely without refrigeration. They were also well received at the picnic. There were 2 left over and they argued over who got to take them home.
Definitely a keeper recipe.
