...that I'm thinking of steaming with their cute roots and stubby tops on. Do you think they need to be peeled?

 
Actually...they needed to be peeled...I tested one and found...

...the more fiberous skin was overwhemling with the small amount of carrot flesh ...since they were so little I guess. Peeled they were excellent. Live and learn!

 
Speaking of those bags of carrots..

my grocery store has strted selling the same sized bags of julienned carrots. I've found that this is truly an indispensible conveience item for throwing together salads and stir frys, or adding to oter steamed veggies in a hurry.
