I just bought a bunch of Cuisinart mini casseroles to fill as Christmas presents. But now I don't

I want those! How about Michael's Best Button Mushrooms that Pat-NoCal & Curious1 and I enjoyed?

I've made these twice and am surprised they're not in T&T. Pat initially posted the recipe.

I bet if you added a TBS or two of low sodium chicken broth, they would cook up nicely on a stovetop with the lid slightly ajar? A labor of love to make, but a great topping for a fine steak.

How cute would that be?! Saw it today in Ruhlman's Twenty cookbook

which I checked out of the library. Of course the bread (called Dutch Oven Bread in this particular book) might end up more like a roll....lol, in the tiny casserole, but would still be really darling and might be a good application for the mini casserole. Love the concept of "moisture trapped in the closed pot resulting in a fantastic crust".

Fell in love with the recipes and photos in the book, may have to acquire it. Will try a few recipes first to see how they turn out.

How about Cinnamon or Steve's Gingerloaf bread baked in to double as xmas morning breakfast?

Plus, something like that will smell yummy when they open the lid.

Now I want a couple of these for friends. The 250 ml size is about 8 oz or 1 cup which is perfect

for single servings and would be great for a couple of my single friends. Thanks Marg.

how about a fruit crisp, putting a piece of parchment over the filling and the topping in a ziplock

so it doesn't get soggy. instructions to take off parchment and sprinkle topping over it before baking.

Good idea Ang. I have a bag of apples to use up as well. That way I can run ribbon around it.

Or the gingerloaf, or
